A 51-year-old Connecticut man who police say crashed his car into a telephone pole while having twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system was arrested late last week, authorities said.
Jonathan Beck, of New Milford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to maintain the proper lane, and reckless endangerment, according to Connecticut State Police. He was arrested Friday, April 11.

A mother is accused of driving drunk with her 2-year-old daughter in her SUV on the wrong side of a major Long Island highway, Nassau County Police announced on Saturday, April 12.
Yajaira Castillo, 44, of Inwood, was seen operating a 2014 Honda CR-V southbound in the northbound lanes of Nassau Expressway with the toddler in the vehicle, according to police.
