A line of severe storms is moving through the region from west to east on Saturday afternoon, May 28. Storm activity is expected to continue into early Saturday evening. A slow moving cold front is triggering the system, according to the National Weather Service. Lightning alerts have been issued for parts of the region. A strong cold front will be ushered in by a round of heavy thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts that could cause power outages.
