Derrick Paris, a father of two who lived in West Caldwell, was on an assignment with E-J Electric for Orange & Rockland Utilities when he and co-worker Justin McLoughlin, 28, of Trenton, Ga., were killed. Reynaldo Martinez-Cruz, 34, of Poughkeepsie, died following the accident that took place around 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, said Town of Newburgh Police Lt. James Nenni. Martinez-Cruz was using a pole-saw in the bucket lift about 25-feet above the roadway when he made contact with live power lines at the corner of Babes Lane and Lattintown Road in the Town of Newburgh, said Nenni. An investigation into the accident is underway.

The incident took place around 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, when the man, using a pole-saw in the bucket lift about 25-feet above the roadway, made contact with live power lines at the corner of Babes Lane and Lattintown Road, said Town of New Police Department Lt. Identity Released For 20-Year-Old Woman Killed While Walking On Lirr Tracks Long Island Railroad officials have released the identity of a woman electrocuted by a third-rail track in Freeport. Kay Bernese-Lopez, 20, of Hempstead, was killed about 6 a.m., Saturday, June 1, while walking with two other women near the tracks in Freeport, said an LIRR spokesman.
