A man accused of fatally shooting two teenagers during a suspected drug deal involving a carjacked vehicle in Maryland is now wanted for murder, police announced.
Duan Goddard, 27, of Fort Washington, is charged with killing 16-year-old Thomas Smith Jr., of Washington, DC, and 16-year-old Michael Bassett, of Temple Hills, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
On Tuesday, May 27, just after 9:35 p.m., officers were near the 5500 block of Haras Place when they heard gunshots ring out.

After nearly three decades, a Bridgewater homicide finally has a resolution, authorities said.
Robert Creter, 61, pleaded guilty on Monday, May 19, in the 1997 death of Tamara "Tammy" Tignor, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said. Creter pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and is expected to be sentenced to 10 years in state prison, authorities said.

A 70-year-old New York woman was arrested and charged after she withdrew $9,000 from a bank in Deville using a phony ID, authorities said.
On Wednesday, Feb. 26, officers responded to Provident Bank on Broadway after Diane Crial, an Amsterdam resident, used a fraudulent ID card to withdraw $9,000, Denville police said. Crial was eventually apprehended in Amsterdam, New York, police said.
