A Philadelphia man was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison for possessing 36 kilograms of fentanyl and running two drug houses with a citizen of the Dominican Republic, authorities said.
Gabriel Rivera-Otero, 42, also known as "Carlos Vasquez" and "Gustavo," was sentenced to about 24-and-a-half years in prison and 10 years of supervised release, according to a Department of Justice news release on Monday, Oct. 28.

A Deptford man will spend several years in prison for selling heroin and cocaine, authorities said.
Javier Osorio, 44, was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 29 to six years in prison, New Jersey's U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said in a news release.
According to court documents and statements, Osorio planned to sell cocaine and more than a kilogram of heroin. The drugs were found in his apartment.

An Egg Harbor City man will spend nearly three years in prison after he was found with violent child pornography, authorities said.
Anthony Barbarino, 38, was sentenced on Thursday, Oct. 24 to 33 months for possession of child pornography, New Jersey's U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said in a news release.
According to court documents and statements, Barbarino had 93 pictures and 108 videos of child sexual abuse on three electronic devices between Tuesday, Apr. 12, 2022, and Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022.

John Goggin, a Morris County resident, who previously served as general counsel for Moody's, was sentenced to eight months in prison on Thursday, Oct. 24, after admitting to failing to file an income tax return for several years, authorities said.
Goggins, who lives in Chatham, was a former senior vice-president and general counsel for the credit rating service, before retiring in 2023. From 2018 to 2021, Goggins earned $54 million in earned income, yet never failed a federal income tax return, US Attorney Philip Sellinger said.
