All nine juveniles that broke out of Abraxas Academy juvenile detention center have been recaptured, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Beohm said on Monday morning. The teens escaped the "secure youth treatment facility" Abraxas Academy located at 1000 Academy Drive, Morgantown, Caernarvon Township, on Sunday, Sept. 17 around 8 p.m., according to area police. Trooper Beohm said these boys were at the Academy as a holding facility not the long-term location of sentenced youth. The boys were between the ages of 14 and 17 years of age. Newark Prisoner Captured After Escape
A 28-year-old inmate at the Essex County Jail is back in custody after a brief escape. Makena Farrell escaped from custody at 480 Clinton Ave., around 2:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, police said. Farrell led a brief foot pursuit and was ultimately captured at Van Vechten Street, authorities said. Farrell was initially arrested on Thursday, Sept. 14 in the 900 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue for drug-related charges, police said. she is now facing charges of escape, eluding, obstruction of the administration of the law, and burglary.

The search for an escaped Washington DC murder suspect remains active a day after Danelo Cavalcante's capture. Christopher Haynes, a Manassas, VA native charged in the Aug. 12 murder of Brent Hayward, escaped from the George Washington University Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
