Man, 20, Caught With Loaded Gun In Route 9W Traffic Stop In West Haverstraw, Police Say
A traffic stop in Rockland County led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man accused of illegally possessing a loaded firearm.
The incident happened just before 9:40 p.m. on Friday, March 27, on Route 9W in West Haverstraw, the Haverstraw Police Department said on Saturday, March 28.
During the stop, officers conducted an investigation and found that one person in the vehicle had a loaded gun. The suspect was identified as Kamani A. Atterbury, of Spring Valley, who was taken into custody and transported to Haverstraw Police headquarters for processing.

A search warrant executed at a Schenectady home led to the discovery of a dead dog that investigators believe was intentionally killed, along with narcotics and an illegal firearm, police said.
Detectives made the discovery while executing a search warrant at a residence on Ostrander Place on Tuesday, March 3, according to Schenectady Police.
