19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Moriches Crash With Pickup Truck: Police A 19-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in a crash on Long Island on Tuesday afternoon, July 14, police said. Charles Carrano, of Center Moriches, was riding his 2006 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Montauk Highway around 12:45 p.m., the Suffolk County Police Department said. Carrano collided with a 2014 Ram 1500 pickup truck in the intersection at James Hawkins Road in Moriches, investigators said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, a 27-year-old East Moriches man, was not injured, cops said. Investigators are still looking into the crash.
