Essex County Natives Mourn Baby Boy Who Climbed Into Pool, Drowned
The community is coming together in support of North Jersey parents who lost their 15-month-old son Devon suddenly on Saturday. More than $4,100 had been raised for Sean and Jill Williams on a GoFundMe launched by Robin DeLorenzo as of Monday morning. Sean, a West Orange native and Montclair High School graduate, and his wife Jill, formerly of Cedar Grove, own Solstice Cafe in Hopatcong. Garnerville Driver Behind Wheel Of Truck That Struck, Killed NJ Actor
A 34-year-old Garnerville driver was behind the wheel of a box truck that ran over and killed a local New Jersey actor after he tripped and fell in a northwest Bergen County parking lot Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. Thomas Morrissey, a 56-year-old father of three and grandfather of one, was walking through the lot when he tripped, fell and was run over by a 2016 Chevy box truck, police said. 10th US Victim ID'd In Crash That Killed Five Members Of Westchester Family
The 10th American fatality in a crash that claimed the lives of 12, including all five members of a Westchester family on Sunday afternoon in northwestern Costa Rica has been identified. The final U.S. citizen killed was Amanda Geissler, a trip leader of the Backroads Active Travel Company, said company spokeswoman Liz Einbinder. Geissler, a Utah native, was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The 33-year-old Geissler had been working with Backroads since May.
