CT Man Sentenced For Shooting Into Occupied Homes Of Former High School Classmates
A Connecticut man will serve more than a decade in prison for firing into the occupied homes of two women he knew from high school.
Gregory McHugh, 42, of Guilford, fired eight rounds into one home on Dec. 21, 2022, and four rounds into another on Oct. 24, 2023, prosecutors said.
Both homes were in Guilford. The women had attended Guilford High School with him.
Judge David L. Zagaja sentenced McHugh to 24 years in prison, suspended after 12 years served, followed by five years of probation, according to New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney John P. Doyle Jr.

A Pennsylvania man admitted strangling his wife’s fiancée in his van and burying her body along a creek nearly seven years ago, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Monday, Sept. 28.
David Allen Snyder, 39, of Hanover, is charged with first-degree murder and strangulation in the death of 38-year-old Kimberley Gsell, court records show.
Gsell was last seen around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 29, 2019, at the Rodeway Inn at 1239 Harrisburg Pike in Middlesex Township, according to the affidavit.

Police in Connecticut have arrested a 23-year-old man and a juvenile who they said were involved in a check scheme that defrauded a business out of more than $34,000.
Christopher Collins, 23, of East Granby, faces multiple charges after the Wallingford business reported in March that someone had stolen and forged the checks, police said.
Collins is accused of offering a juvenile $5,000 to deposit the checks, worth $21,775 and $12,604.50, at different banks. Police said they tracked the money through bank accounts and financial technology companies, leading to both arrests.

A drug sale in a Connecticut parking lot led police to crack cocaine and a gun inside a housing authority apartment, investigators said.
Patricia Saunders, 59, of Danbury, and Ronald Reiske Jr., 49, of Brookfield, were arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 22, after a month-long investigation into drug sales in Danbury, authorities said. The DEA’s Bridgeport office assisted.
